Subject: running bike mount
So, I've never done a running bike mount before and I suppose I will need some tips. I thought about doing it yesterday as I started my ride, but I'm pretty tall and my seat looked really high! I chickened out. Of course, that was on my mountain bike, perhaps my road bike "looks" a little more doable. I just don't have a clue as to where to begin. I would like to avoid injury. Any tips?

I'm no expert on running mounts, but my first suggestion would be to find a grassy area to cushion your falls. Of course I would assume flexibility would have a lot to do with it (you would have to get your leg over the seat with your other foot planted on the ground-unless you could take a little hop onto your seat). I'm sure there are other people who have more experience than me who could explain technique...i.e. body position, bike position, hand position, bike speed, etc. With me it's still in the trial and error phase (run, hop, crash, get up...run, hop, crash, get up...run, hop, crash, get up...)
