"SAY IT AIN'T SO JOE!" I hope you are taunting me in your "sabrekitty" way and it is Jurgen Van der Walle that is out with a broken collarbone (which is true) and not Christian Vandevelde (which I have not heard yet). Extreme Veteran 341 Newnan, Georgia | Subject: RE: TDF "Versus" Fantasy League Man, wish I would have had Armstrong on my Velo team today, great ride for astana and columbia today. Neal, pulling in some big points on Versus, eh. I believe whoever wins the Versus fantasy league will be the best. It is honestly hard the way they had that system set up. $500 sure doesn't give you much at all, scoring system is interesting too. Come on Velo, lets see those updated scores! Must have had a long vacation weekend... Karen should be taking the lead based on her riders Cav, Armstrong, Hincapie, and Cancellara. Should be a tight race until the mountains. |

Master 1432 Woodstock | Subject: RE: TDF "Versus" Fantasy League I really dont know why I never put Cav on my roster- dude is a points machine! I had to seriously rework the roster to put him in. |

Master 2379 Alpharetta, GA | Subject: RE: TDF "Versus" Fantasy League Great stage today - TTT is always fun to watch!! Velogames Stage 2 and 3 scores are up: http://www.velogames.com/tdf09teamscores.php In the BT mini-league, current standings are below. Brent's lead over Karen is slim and both are comfortable over the rest of the group, but Stage 4 results might tighten things up a bit, as Neal and Karen should both score well. Karen and Brent might swap places and it looks like Neal will jump in front of me. The second half of the standings will pretty much stay the same. BT VELO

Extreme Veteran 341 Newnan, Georgia | Subject: RE: TDF "Versus" Fantasy League BTW, don't know if anyone watches FOX. But an anchor talking about sports the other night was cracking me up. You can tell they never watch cycling when they talk about "Khan-cell-lera leading the race after stage 2". I was dying laughing. Before he said that phrase, he took about a 5 second pause (sounding it out in his head of course). Good stuff. Also not looking forward to Karen blowing past me in the Velo game. Why did I pick Farrar over Cav? I guess since his Aunt and Uncle took pictures for me at the last Tour de Georgia, I would support a mainland hero. Lastly, how long do you think Johan will allow Cancellara to keep the yellow? I know he would rather have Saxo protect the jersey for a while instead of Astana. And is Lance the leader for Astana, or will they wait until the mountains to decide? Great race today! |

I really hate to see them reset the scores. I would prefer we just lock in the teams and go from here. I am sort of revising my team for GC and mountains so I guess I will drop to the bottom of this thing for the next few days at least when they reset the scores. You might want to help Doug revise his team a bit too. Edited by nealphelps 2009-07-07 3:07 PM |

Oh yeah - kicking some butt, even without Boonen on my team! (Not sure how since I can't get in either since the first initial team pick. Guess my first pick is working, but probably won't last.) |

Extreme Veteran 341 Newnan, Georgia | Subject: RE: TDF "Versus" Fantasy League Close race for sure! If Armstrong wins the Tour I believe Karen's team wins, if Contador wins, I may have a chance, not having Cav hurts! Steal pretty close race for everyone here. I'm glad Versus resets back to zero, hopefully my newly organized team will dominate! |

Ha! I have him on my team as well. I picked him for the climbing hoping for polka dots. A stage win is a nice bonus. |

Master 2379 Alpharetta, GA | Subject: RE: TDF "Versus" Fantasy League Velogames' Stage 5 results are up: http://www.velogames.com/tdf09teamscoretot.php?stage=5 Karen's put more distance between her and Brent, and Neal's also solidifying hold on 3rd; meanwhile, LJVELO is sucking and has dropped from 4th to 5th while Team Jones is quietly picking up ground. GCorn has set up camp toward the bottom of the standings, but things *could* change soon as we head to the mountains. Stay tuned... BT VELO
