Okay Fred I'll ask the question for you!

How did your ride with Paul Freitzche, professional triathlete extraordinaire, go today?

For those who don't know, Paul Freitzche is one of the nicest pro's you will ever meet. He is a new father as of last year, delivered by our own PennState, and still finds the time to train, travel and make a good living at this sport that we all love. Fred is lucky enough to train with Paul and I can't wait to hear about the ride!

There you go Fred, the floor is all yours!

BTW - I only got 82 mi in today.

8.2 mile run.  Had to wait until the evening to get my run in, which I don't usually do.  Weather dropped enough that it was quite comfortable.

Also first run on new shoes....always amazing how soft and springy new running shoes are.

~1300 yard ocean swim this morning.  Quite rough and windy out there - I got airborne a couple times.  Loads of fun!  Still managed to swim it at 1:40/100 - pretty pleased with that.

Finished up by riding a 15 mile TT and clocked in my first 20+mph ride of decent length (20.25mph).  All in all a good day.

A reverse brick (Run-Bike). 7.6 miles of rolling hills in the late afternoon then a steady ride on the computrainer for an hour on manual with about 4 minites of transition. Then off to the pinic and fireworks. Happy 4th of July.

Today was a rest day, sort of.

After a 4 mile morning run and 2 hours watching the parade I spent the entire afternoon slow roasting over mesquite wood smoke about 10 pounds of ribs.

If you flip rib racks enough times does that count as a strength training?

I did the Peachtree Road Race (10k).  I was only like less than 1 hour behind the Kenyans.  If not for me stopping to dance with the Chipandales dancers then stopping to headbang to Hey Mickey I would have passed them.  Most awesome race I ever did in my life.  55000 people with god knows how many on the side of the road just drinking and partying (and handing out beer to the racers which I loved).

Got up early and ran for 30 minutes. Went for a 4 hour kayaking trip in the afternoon. It was a nice day.

I had a sprint tri in the morning, then a very easy bike ride with some friends in the evening.. no better way to celebrate the 4th!
