Subject: IM Louisville...Help...Runner's Knee??

I hope someone has some insight...I recently completed IM Buffalo Springs a couple of weeks ago with no pain. I rested one day and ran a very easy 5 miler on Tuesday night. During that easy 5 I could barely make it home due to pain on the lower inner part of my left knee cap. Has anyone ever used CORTISONE injections to help with the pain to get through an Ironman or does anyone have any insight. I took 9 days off from running and only swam and cycled. I ran today and could only make it 3/4 of a mile. Any advice would be helpful!! IRONMAN LOUISVILLE IS AUG 30th...

Can you go see a Dr.? If you want an injection, you will need to see a Dr. anyways... so why not go and figure out what's going on?

Hopefully they can figure out what's going on. If not, get ready to walk the marathon really fast.
