I finally did it! 100 miles on my Tri Bike. I've been slowly building my bike mileage over the last few months and decided to go for it today. It was a pretty difficult course, which involved many rolling hills, and several long climbs up to some mountain lakes.

The weather was 50F and overcast. At about 20 miles out it dumped buckets on me. There were rivers flowing down the highway. It was a warm rain so I didn't put on my light jacket.

I felt really strong during the ride. I ate 3 powerbars, 2 gels, and 2 bannanas. I also drank 5 bottles of water.

When I first started biking this year, I often felt sick after biking 70 miles. I feel great now after 100 miles.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my great ride today.

Congrats, that's friggin' badass!! Can't say I think I'll ever want to ride that far, but that's awesome you did something you wanted.

I rode 25 today, longest ever for me (by 13 miles) and only my second real ride ever! 85min to do the Honolulu Tinman bike course. No 100 miles, that's fer sure, but I was pumped.

Nice job on the century, especially with mother nature fighting against you. I hope the recovery goes quickly.
