First time in a couple training plans I've used from here to see this:

main: 5 x (6t, 2r)

What does it mean?

Looks like a 40 min session:  5 reps of 6 min. at threshold pace/2 min. at rest pace...but I've been wrong before...

I would say that threshold pace is a little bit slower than the pace you can maintain for thirty minutes max, so for example the pace you would run a 50-60 minute race.

I would also agree that the workout seems to say to run 5 sets of 6 minutes @ threshold pace, 2 minutes @ recovery pace.

I have to respectfully disagree with the above.  "t" mean TEMPO, not Threshold.  If it were Threshold, mostly likely it would say "run at or near your LT" (lactate threashold).

Your tempo pace is basically your Half Mary Pace minus 10-15 seconds per mile (some say).  I think if it as Z4 work.  Just under my LT...  Whereas my threashold pace is 5k pace or a VERY hard effort - harder than temp.

There's my 0.02 - for whatever that's worth.  Maybe just 0.02

^^^  That's a good way to look at it.   The "t" could possibly mean "threshold" or "tempo"...which are two slightly different things, but are very roughly in the neighborhood of what you would run a 10K race at.

Yeah, it could also be tempo pace.  It actually sounds like your definition of tempo pace is roughly my definition of threshold pace.

It's also important to keep in mind that what 't' means depends a lot on the rest of the plan.  Then you could get more of an idea of the purpose of the run.  I think you mentioned it was a BT plan?  If so, you could pop on over to the training log support forum and check for clariffication of the terms.
