Ok...well we've got a great swim challenge going on, and I trust that someone (Bear or Kim) will get a bike challenge going...so, since TRIathlon means 3 sports, anyone interested in a run challenge?  I'll keep score if anyone is interested.

A measly 53 for me. I don't get into any decent running for another month or so. :-)

I know that some of us calculate our runs in a matter of minutes rather than distance.  We can do both.  Like the swim challenge, it is going to be a percentage of your total (minutes or miles (or km)).  Just let me know if your number is in minutes or miles (or km).

Jasmine...I'm assuming your 53 is miles.

Mine will be 48 miles.

Like in the swim challenge... Are we going to have a competition going on? Just to make things more interesting!  ;

I am in with 100 miles or 13 hrs, that is depending on how my coach will lay down my trainning.

Thanks for this challenge. I swim enough, I don't need a challenge, I have a challenging swim coach. Now running on the other hand....

Put me down for 75 miles, and I don't even know if that is realistic. It is almost 25 miles farther than I went last month.

I have an idea for the prize. The losers have to write poem about it and put it in their signature all the while praising the people who met the challenge. I might have to start on my poem now.
Just a thought.

I'm in, but I haven't really been following the bike or swim thread too closely. What are the 'rules'?

(I guess I should really have asked that before I said I was in! Oh well!  )I

Yes Katie, it's miles. It would be rather hillarious if I only ran 53 minutes.

Okay, put me down for 30 miles, at least 5 of which must be run on the Charles River loop in Boston, and 3.1 of which must be in a race.

(I have a trip there coming up)

I was inspired by last months challenge, and had planned my own mini challenge.

Put me down for...40 miles (or 9 hours). I'm nursing a knee injury so that may be more walking than running, but it's only a mile a day (+ a planned race). Even if I can't run, I need to walk that long for pure exercise.

Well, I've got my first full coming up in 6 weeks, so you'd better slot me in for 130 miles this month.
