Bike looks great, cant wait to hear about the races.  Saw your comment on sidestroke and thought I would let you know that in my first Tri i started to get burnt out doing free so I went to side which got raucous laughter from my girlfriend, who is a swimmer, but got me out of the water.  Gotta love the sidestroke!

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I just have to get faster. IN the Navy I did a 5 mile swim side stroke but it was not timed. My half mile is 35 min so I want it around 25 so we will see.

That is cool that you guys also use sidestroke.  I learned a variation of the sidestroke in the Navy and when I get the slightest bit tired, I tend to revert to it without thinking.  Old habits sure are tough to break.

Scotty, with those arms, I think 25 min is very realistic.  Not everyone has paddles that big.

Thanks Mike....I learned the sidestroke when I was at the EOD DET...
