I was wondering if anybody was interested in doing this? I has rides from 20 miles to 100. It is on Sunday August 16th in Swartz Creek(near Flint). I am racing the day before in Sanford but would be down for a long ride the next day. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Definitely interested. Love doing tours. There might be some greyhounds that are interested in this also.  I'd be thinking for me either the 100k or the 100mile.

The ASS100 is a great ride!  I will be driving back to MI that day from Florida.  Swimming with dolphins... I hear that it is just like riding a 100 miler.  JUST.

I've kicked around the idea of doing it, or the Fenton Tour du Lacs.  I haven't ridden more than 60 miles at once this year.  How much it is going to hurt?

Depends on how long it's been since that 60 miles and how fast you go. If you get a 4 hour ride or two in between now and then you'll be fine.

The ASS100 will be a game day decision for me, its one of two open weekends left this summer and I need to choose wisely.

If I do it I don't think I will do the 100m. I might be able to do the 100k. I am only racing a sprint the day before but I have to beat last years time and that means flying(for me).

If I do it, I won't be riding with any of you boys.  You are all too fast for slo-jogo.  I will be doing this as a tour and just enjoying my time in the saddle.  I did 100k in June, never having done anything more than 40 miles at one time before.  I  am just going to wing it with wherever I am at when the time comes.

I would do either. Not sure about time, what time does it start?  could do anytime as well. Would make no difference to me.

The century has to start @8am but everyone else has to start by 10:30 I think. The earlier the better for me but 8-9am would be good for the 100k.

Ok, I will find out in the next day or two if I'll be here. That time and distance sounds good.

I think I should've asked what drugs you had in your coffee, Glen.  How was your Saturday ride?  Seriously, how was it, the heat has me nervous for the ride tomorrow.

It was so nice of you to make sure the port-a-potties were on site and ready for the ride tomorrow.  Thanks.

Heheh, yeah, I showed up for the Asshat100 because I felt like one. I need to get my days straightened out.

Had a awesome ride out at ILRA/Kensington/Proving Grounds. After double laps of Kensington and the proving grounds I called it quits and rolled back in for 64 miles.

If you guys are starting at 7:00 you'll have no problem doing the 100k, it didn't really start to get hot out until noon so you'll be done by the time mother nature turns up the heat.

What a great ride/event. I think I gained weight from all the food they had at the rest stops. We ahd 4 rest stops in the 64 miles filled with everything from fruits to cookies to pb sandwiches. This event is great and I will be doing it again next year.
