Subject: Ironman WI Training Day

In 2007 I did a few long days for training to check nutrition plans and endurance - this year more to maintain a bit.  I am planning on July 31 - FRI or Aug 2 for a long day at Elkhart Lake WI.  I will start swimming around 6:30 am and do 3800-4100 yards, then bike for about 90-95 miles (5.5 - 6 hrs) then brick a run for 3-5 miles.

I M looking for someone to hang with.  I would prefer FRIDAY over Sunday =- easier to return to work on Monday if on Friday.  Let me know if you are interested.  The Lake is as clean as you get, the Biking is Hilly - welcome to Kettle Moraine and the run is just a little slow run.  Even if you just want to bike, I am game for that.

Let me know who is interested - my wife is gone for Tri WI on Sat - double loop - i only ride the course on race day - Elkhart is harder - IMHO

If you're up for very EARLY Friday (meet around 6AM), I would definitely be up for around 90 - 95 on the bike and run. Not so keen on the swim. Deal?

I got the approval from wifey for Fri. to train - now it's only a matter of getting that day off from work.  I'll keep you informed.  I'm looking forward to doing this if it pans out!

great!

Rich - the swim in Elkhart Lake is worth it!  ask Phil.  You will not have a better lake.  So it may be 3 amigos on a Friday -

Most definately!  Heck, I'm sure all the FrozenMan participants can respond to this, too!

Wish I could make it, but I have a 130 minute run, a short recovery swim, and oh yeah, work.

Well if Phil can keep up.....

Phil, if the bossman gives you the go ahead, let me know. I may want to tag along. Sounds like a great training day.

Thing is, Phil can't keep up with Chris.  Chris is too nice to hang back off and on, 'cept for the swim, which is fine.
