I will be there doing the Stoneman.  Hopefully around 1:07 or so, not professional by any means but I would enjoy it.

I will be there doing Stoneman.  It was my first triathlon last year, so it will be interesting to see how it goes this year.

Syaotblh - 2009-07-24 12:40 PM Good luck everyone!

I'm doing Ironabe, need to redeem myself from oly race this season - where I self destructed on the run.  Also redeem myself from 2007 ironabe where I missed the turn and did the outleg portion of the stoneman ride, then did the rest of Ironabe course. Should be fun!

It will be better this year! Good luck!

I will be there.....lake temp is currently at 81 degrees.  This is my first tri so I am excited and a bundle of nerves and hoping my hamstring doesn't start acting up on the run.

wow! lake is 81? i thought it would be alot cooler. I even practised in my wetsuit today! What is the cut off, 78? I don't remember.

I'll be there for IronAbe trying ot better my time from 2007. I'll be in a red and black St. Louis Tri Club jersey.

Good luck to everyone and be safe out there!

I believe it is 78.  You can wear one at higher temps, but then are ineligible for age group award.

well...I saw a few ladies today who had the red/black STL tri club jersey. Apparently of the two that I asked, you were obviously not them.  So I stopped after that...I fail.

I did not do half bad for myself for the stoneman a little under 1:07

That is funny, I was even talking to them at one point!

I did this race two years ago and last years results seemed like there were more participants...have you done it before? What was your take?

There did seem to be fewer people this year. I think that the Iron Abe race was some kind of qualifier (USAT regional? help me out here) but that is no longer the case.

There seemed to be a lot of people in the sprint distance.  It is a Senior Olympics event, so large contingency of 50+ crowd.

Being July in Illinois, we couldn't have asked for better weather! I got 4th female/1st ag (I was only 30 seconds behind 3rd place girl) and took 19 minutes off my previous time for that race. So I am happy, I almost wish there would have been more competitors though...it was kind of disapointing because it usally seems to be a big deal.
