IMFL - The Hotel is a DUMP!

To all you folks headed to Panama City Beach for IMFL (or Gulf Coast this weekend), do not stay at the Boardwalk Beach Resort (the host hotel). I went to check in yesterday for the Gulf Coast Tri and upon seeing the property and my room, immediately checked out. I travel for a living and I have to say that it was the most disgusting hotel I've ever seen in my entire career, bar none. I would be embarrassed to ask my guests to stay in a place like that.For instance, my room was no bigger than your average walk in closet. There was a fresh vomit stain going down one wall and into the well stained carpet. The bed linnens were dirty, the furniture in disrepair, the bath had paint (yes, paint) peeling from the tiles and both dead and live mosquitos throughout. It was the kind of place where you just don't want to touch anything. I was just amazed that they actually expected people to live and sleep in this room.I was lucky enough to find another, much nicer place to stay just down the road. I will be changing my reservations for IMFL. Word to the wise.
