Hi everyone. Just starting out and looking foward to the challenges ahead. I have been half heartedly working out since high school and here I am 16 years later finally trying to get my act togethar. I never ran more than 1.5 miles at one time. I have started a running program and also bike, but no swimming yet. I have entered my first 5k April 18 for motivation and a challenge. I would like to set my goals to try a sprint tri in the fall of this year. Any advice would be appreciated. Also are there any catalogs for tri equipment out there?

good for you! it's great to have you on the site!

for equipment, check out www.trisports.com. if you check another thread (different section I think) there is a link to get 10% off.

Good luck with your training!

I hope you find a way to get to a pool.  The real benefit of swimming/biking/running is that the different sports help to avoid the overuse injuries that come from focusing on just one sport.  Keep working on it and tell us about your progress.
