Anyone doing the Top Notch tomorrow?  Any ideas on water temp for Echo Lake?  I have a wetsuit, but I'm guessing the water temp would have to be pretty cold to take the time to throw it on (with the bike being the 2nd leg and all).

I am not doing Top Notch, nor do I know the temp of Echo lake, but with the weather we have had, and if the Lake is mountain fed, and you have a wet suit  TAKE IT and WEAR IT.

I did the Black Fly 3 weeks ago and the water temp was 58!!  BuRRRRRRRRRRR!   Good luck with your race!

I did mean the swim being the 2nd leg... in any case the water was pretty cold, but refreshing after a pretty tough bike ride.  I opted to leave the wetsuit at home as did all the other "iron" triathletes competing.  As cold as it was I should have stayed in the water to avoid the hike up Cannon... ugh was that tough.

I did the Top Notch this weekend, too.  Thought the water was a little chilly jumping in, but otherwise thoight it was refreshing and felt great.  Couldn't agree with you more about the bike and hike....awful!

Was thinking about you guys out there - at least you had good weather for it! Got awfully hot, though...
