Subject: Running shoes.. insoles or no?
So I have been doing my running in <insert gasp here> a 2yr old pair of Addidas shoes that I also use for yardwork. Some days I run in Nike Shoxx.

This weekend I picked up a pair of ASIC Gels. I added a set of insoles to make them even more comfortable but then started to wonder if I should do that.  If the shoes are built and designed a certain way, should you change this with different insoles or is that not a big deal?  I'm pretty new to running.  Things are going well so I don't want to screw things up.

Thanks

Unless you have a foot problem that requires orthodics, I would probably leave the insoles out. The shoes should be comfortable as is, otherwise you probably have the wrong shoe for your foot.
