just curious, for a ride that has no hills, it seems to take me way longer than my normal ride of the same distance!  (maybe i'm just distracted by the greenery...)

what are people's times?

I think the biggest contributor to taking a while is that there is a lot of stopping and starting that kills your momentum.  You can't really cruise through all those intersections and there are a lot of them.  But also, it's not totally flat.  Have you taken a look at the course elevation?

From Arlington Center to Bedford is a little less than 9 miles one way.
Quite a few intersection with major roads where you have to stop and wait for the lights.  In Lexington/Arlington there are many people doing all kids of activities and dogs and cats and squirrels and bunnies you have to be aware of.  Makes times pass a lot quicker.  Though you speed has to suffer with all the stops and slowdowns to avoid hitting others.
