Leave it in transition, you can use it as a water bucket to wash your feet!  That's what i do with my puke bucket.

I'm going down tonight, does anybody know if they are still doing that beginner walk through at 7:00pm?  I saw something in a flyer that I have, but on the website it doesn't say anything.  How soon tomorrow can you post up your bike for a good transition position?

I'm planning on doing a beginner walk thru.  I remember seeing in somewhere.  I'm just gonna do the packet pickup and then hang-out/recon until someone tells me to beat it.

I'm excited too!  I would really love to meet you guys, hopefully we can have more training partners.  I'll be the only filipino guy there with the Hawaiian islands tattoo'd on his leg... can't miss me!  I may be bringing my english bulldogs too... I'll have a puke bucket in transition too just in case anyone forgets theirs!

DUDE! Stay away from my wife if you bring those english bulldogs! My wife will dognap them, she is completely obsessed with that breed! We can't get one because her cat is totally territorial! I'll be the only guy with a full red beard!

You'll want to get rid of the cat if you meet Bacon and Hamm-Bone.

Nice dog names, they probably suit them perfectly!  You don't have to talk me out of keeping the cat!

Pretty good for my first race.  My transitions were GARBAGE and I started cramping on the run but overall I had a blast.  Getting there I was pretty intimidated.  All of the guys on my rack had better bikes than me and they all had their "war face" on.

Boom I swear I saw you out there.

Kmeisman, were you in the 1st timer wave?  I saw a guy with a red full beard out there and I remember thinking to myself how hot I'd be rocking that beard (If I could grow a full one right)!  In case anyone was wondering I was wearing the US Army Tritop.  Cypress Gardens anyone?

Yeah, that was me in the first timer wave! I did pretty good in the swim and I think better than expected in the bike but definitely not what I wanted in run! Preliminary results had me at 1:21:38! I know my transitions were competitive! All in all, I had fun and ready for another!

Hey CAM - I definitely saw u (the large ARMY star).   Now, rest a few days (eat your pizza - Boom told me about that), and get back to training Wed or Thur.   No need to feel intimidated as long as you do "your" race.  Don't worry about what's going on around u.

Dude, awesome time for a first timer.  Hope to see you coming back for more.

Mu next PUBLIX is finals - Cypress Gardens, in 2 months.  Right now I am looking for a way to keep busy - like a first-time Olympic in a month or so.

did you all saw the pics?
found urself in them?

wish they were organized by race number or time but i find this is a better deal than most other race photographers ($5.00/pic)  most shots look very good.  I think I spotted every BTer on this thread.

there was a flyer in the goodie bag with this info:  www.stpetephotos.com

Yeah I'm stupid cuz I went back to the workout plan monday.  Probably shouldn't have done that but I want to improve for cypress gardens and I gotta stay in shape because my cadets start school this week!  I will probably join a team and get someone to show me how to swim faster.  I also need to learn how to get faster on my bike

i wanted to ride at 5 today or run this evening but the rain kept me indoors.
Wednesday, i should get back from Orlando around 5:30 - will bring gear bag along.
with school started we should not have any problems finding 2-3 open lanes.  Wanna swim?
call me after 1:30PM.

CAM - what's your avg speed on the bike now?
Do you have a bike trainer? (the thing you put your bike on and ride endless boring hours on).  I can lend you some Spinerval DVDs.  There are also several bike clubs all over the place, they're a great resource to get you up to speed and distance.

Average speed on the bike is 16 mph which in my opinion is pretty sucky.  I don't have a bike trainer yet.  I live in Pebble Creek which is a neighborhood in New Tampa....sorry about the delay guys!
