I might be up for it, depending on how fast I get my biking legs back.

My favorite 100...little hard going out, then just fast roads, lumpy over the last 10 or so in.  It is a great ride.

I do need to get my August bike mileage in. . .

Can anyone compare and contrast this ride to: Cartersville Covington and the Roswell centuries?

I don't ride much but that might be a good week for me to do a long bike since I am planning a cut back week the following in running and will not be doing a long run (like to sub long bike for long run).

Finally, how far from the Roswell area?

Thanks!

I am not sure about the terrain - someone said it's easier than Silk Sheats, but I've never done that.  Looks like it starts a little past Peachtree City - not a bad ride down there.

I'm in for the full 100 (and this will be my first!) - now who's coming with me????

I'm in. Have got to dial in a better nutrition plan to be ready for 6 Gap! Did a century a week ago and my plan then was a no-go, near-bonk & bloated at mile 92 (I did finish though, just not pretty). Going to try some Hammer Perpetuem this go round and back off the solid foods and Gu.

I'm in.  Most of my cycling buddies are doing the 100, some the 65.

I'm training for Augusta 70.3.  It makes more sense for me to ride 65 or 54, then run for an hour.  Right?

I know, I know.  But for some reason I'd rather ride 5 hours, than ride 3 hours and run for an hour.

I guess that's the difference in having the discipline to train smart -- using your head.  Instead of "doing what you feel like doing", which some days is sitting on the couch.

Which should I do?  100, or 65 and a run?

Bill

Bill I am also doing Augusta.  Due to the work I am able to run in the morning and at lunch so my running milage is not suffering.  I will be doing the century.  I did the 70.3 route on the 15th and feel that the century would be more beneficial than a split (unless you need the run milage)   It is such a flat run course the century will be much better for you.

I'm in for the 57, since I'm doing the One Love 65 next weekend.

Im taking this one off, but you guys might see me. Im doing a 12mi run and the route comes right by my house off Gorden Rd and Walton Rd. You'll be riding in my neck of the hood. I did a 56 on these roads today, after the rain...lol
