Subject: Tri Gear Swap Meet?
Anyone interested in getting a tri gear swap meet together?  I know between the two of us, Dean and I have collected a bunch of "extra" tri gear items like saddles we don't like, an aero helmet that doesn't fit, small bento box, tri clothing that's now too large, and probably a couple dozen more little items I can't think of at the moment. It's not worth trying to put this stuff on eBay, and with the fall triathlon season coming looming large, maybe someone else can use some of the stuff that's just laying around.

Does anyone else have enough tri gear laying around that getting a small swap meet together sounds like a worthy endeavor?

What day did you pick, and do you think I can still fit into Kim's tri gear?

I was thinking about Sunday, Sept. 13 (P.M. - after everyone's cleaned up from morning training), or anytime on the weekend of Sept. 19-20 (probably again in the afternoon, though, because most of us train early mornings).

Depending on how many people participate, we can have it either at our house, or there's a park very close by where we could set up some tables. I would think that we would be able to handle about six tables in the front yard at our house; larger than that and we should go to the park unless someone else wants to host it.

Subject: RE: Tri Gear Swap Meet AND transition practice??? Sept. 13
There were a lot of views on this thread, but not many posts.

What do you guys think about combining the swap meet and transition practice?

I'm thinking Granada Park, Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10:30 a.m.  That way anyone who has really long rides that morning could still make it, and it's a nice central location. I checked out TTL, but there's a Yacht Club race taking up the north bank and a healing field of 3,000 flags at Tempe Beach park that day. And a three-day concert the weekend of Step 18-20.

I am willing to stay behind and watch bikes / shoes / swap meet stuff during transition practice. We could even enlist some volunteers to help time people into and out of transition.

Who's in?

I'm down to be a timer and to help with transistion training. Provided that I don't have to work that day.

As far as selling my extra stuff; I don't have much but what extras I do have I'm willing to just give away if someone needs it.

I am going to be out of town that day, but I have plenty of stuff I would like to sell/swap -- aero bars, seat, headlamp, never-worn mountain biking shoes, mountain bike, sleeveless wetsuit ..
