Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, you've got all those Doomsday devices you build.  Whip us up a weather controller and program it to be 75 degrees and sunny, with a touch of cloud cover

I just got done riding in the pouring rain; I wanna be prepared this year

I distinctly remember the forecast on weather.com for Montauk last year and it was only a 20% chance of ran, highs in the 70's.  20% chance of Rain means 80% chance of Sun, right?    Needless to say, it rained the whole damn race and was in the low 60's.

And for the Record:  You ARE NOT beating me outta the water again Hall!!

I told your wife I would... I verbalized it , so, now I have to.  Hell, it could be the only time I'm in front of you all race.

Do you remember how nice it was before the race started?  I think the rain literally began as soon as the race did and ended minutes after I crossed the line.

If I go 34 mins on the swim and you beat me with a 33:59, then I'll be okay with it.  Just sayin'.

it has rained in more than half my events this year anyway, why should this one be any different.

the problem being warm humid rain, that i think poses a greater problem...looks like i will pack the car with EVERYTHING and determine what to wear on race day....hopefully the wind will stay down, i can handle the wet, wet and windy will not be fun.

Being the first time doing montauk, is the bike course well marked?

BTW-  all this talk of rain is ridiculous.  I am planning on a beautiful sunny day.  Say it with me .....

Hmmmm... I can't remember a single Marker on the Bike last year.  Seriously.  I just remember it being two loops so after one loop I was like, "Okay, one more loop and we're done."  I honestly don't remember a single mile marker, whereas all the M-Dot races I always remember seeing Mile markers every 10 miles or so.

Anyone else remember the bike mile markers??

And same thing with the run, I honestly don't remember any markers?  I also almost ended up in the Medical tent at last years race, so take this all with a five foot tall grain of salt.

I have not had a race this year with mile markers on the Bike, all had mile markers on the run though.

I think the original question was whether the course was marked for direction properly, is it easy to navigate or will us first timers have a hard time following the course outline??

Oh, the question was is it well marked out?   If so, the answer is a big YES.  You'd have to really try to get lost on this course.  Montauk only has what, two or three main roads and a handful of back streets.  The course is EXTREMELY well marked, I assure you if you're FOP, MOP or DFL you will not get lost on this course.  Well, unless your name is Charlie... then there is a chance
