I live just north of Janesville.  Is there a one stop shop sort of store for some of the equipment that I will need (i.e. wetsuits, tri-clothing, heart monitors,etc...)?  Madison is fine, same with Rockford if need be.  I just don't know where to start to look.

P.S.  Found out that an oncoming storm is a great motivator on a bike.  Also to keep my mouth closed while biking by a lake!  Keep on Trucking everyone!

Welcome to the forums.

Endurance House is in Middleton and is a good shop.  It is the only Tri specific shop I know of.  That is just a start for you.

I too would recommend Endurance House in Middleton.  I was there on Wednesday and received help with wetsuits. The floor manager, Adam, was very nice and extremely helpful for this newbie.   It was a very non-intimidating environment and I was impressed by the surprisingly large inventory.  Best wishes.
