Subject: September Race Plans?

Hi Rawk Squad-

Anyone have any multi-sport racing plans for September?  I know there's a lot of running going on- but as I just got in my wetsuit for the first time yesterday- I'm not *quite* ready to give up the idea of having some sort of tri/du action in my "summer" yet.  No idea if I can train up for anything, but if any of you had race plans I'd love to hear them and see if I can make it to something.

If not, I just registered for the Freep Half so between that, going back to work and hanging with the lil dude, I should have enough to work on.

I am planning on Autumn Colors on the 19th. They have a sprint now also. That will be in addition to all the running races.

I'm pretty sure Jon your teammate is doing Autumn Colors...at least that's what he was thinking last night at ILRA! ;-)

Probably staying mostly dry for me in September.  Dances with Dirt in Hell and then Capital City River Run 1/2 marathon.

The Reeds Lake Tri is on September 12th in East Grand Rapids.  There are usually right around 1,000 people doing it, which I would think makes it one of the largest races in the state.  I did it last year and plan on doing it again this year.  Its a challenging bike course and its a well ran race.

What he said.  I'm planning on doing Reeds Lake as well.  Seeing that my 2nd tri (Millennium Park) was cancelled, I wanted to do another one, so this one seemed logical.  Plus it is a similar distance to Tri Del Sol.

I'm thinking about doing Reeds Lake as well, as I have family in G-Rap. Need to get a new bike first though.

I am thinking about doing a sprint @ Barefoot Grand Traverse Resort... only thing stopping me, I have an Olympic Tri in Malibu Cali 6 days later. I would think as long as I don't go all out, I should be okay.

Nice, I too am thinking of the Barefoot sprint. We'll see how the TC Tri goes tomorrow (seeing how it's my first) and most likely I'll be hooked into this one as well. It's convenient only being a few miles from home. Good luck on the olympic tomorrow, lodac. I'll look out for you.

Check out the Niles Tri on the 5th.  Great grass roots-type local race.  Just happens to be my home town....Oly and super sprint distances.

Thanks. The sprint for me tomorrow, perhaps the olympic for the Barefoot. The water should really warm too.

I wish I still had more family that lived over there.  If so, I'd give this some serious thought.  (I was born in Three Rivers.)
