Subject: using another HR monitor with a Garmin
I just got the 310XT for my birthday this week, without the HR monitor.  I have a Nike HR monitor that I used to use.  I plan on getting the soft strap monitor at some point down the road from Garmin, but does any one know if you can use a Non-Garmin monitor with the 310XT?  I would like to be able to use it until I get the Garmin one.

Polar HR straps do not work with the garmin.
I would have to assume it will only work with a Garmin strap.
