There's a commercial for a TV show that comes on here in Dallas... I love it... a guy comes up to the lady and says, "Hello, I'm Gary... I'm 21 years old." She replies, "Hello, I'm your older more patient lover." HAHAHAHA!

That's my answer and I'm sticking to it.

Rudedog55 - 2009-08-28 9:20 AM i turned 40 a week ago tommorrow...i was also carded...when you get out of your 20's, being carded is not an insult but rather amusing regardless of your sex, especially when it is someone you could be the parent of.

edit...40 and on TOP!!!!  lol

My mom, who is nearly 60, has actually been carded when we've all been out to dinner. She's actually gotten mad a couple of times - since she's sitting there with her daughters, who are both in their late 20's, and even if I look 21, that means my mother is still clearly above the drinking age!

I understand why I still get carded when I order drinks. I'm less than 10 years over the drinking age, plus I look a little young and you can be fired from your job if you serve alcohol to minors, since the business can lose its liquor license. But the movie thing was just plain insulting, esp. since the girl was maybe 17 at best.

No one has ever accused a 17 year old about over thinking a situation, i would agree about a movie theater carding someone though, that is just plain silly.

I don't understand why people get mad when they get carded. Working as a waitress for many years... I guess I don't see the big deal in pulling out an ID and proving my age.

Now it would be annoying if I forgot my ID that day and they refused to serve me.

With that said, I NEVER GET CARDED! They can see I'm plenty old. After my botox though... maybe I'll get carded again... HAHAHA!

I'm 31, but people always tell me I look like 4 years old. It must be my boyish charm. Also, I wet the bed a lot.

I'll be offering my wife her last chance at a 43 year old in November.

I probably look my age but still do stuff, unlike my peer group that seems to be done doing anything remotely active.  (not my BT peer group, just my "regular" peer group.    )

Turnin2 - 2009-08-28 8:19 AM 41. I get stomped in my AG.

Same here.  Thats why I enjoyed racing Master Novice in 2 races after the age group race sold out.  I had much better finishes.

Funny how people's age perception varies.  Some people think I look like I'm still in high school, other times I can avoid getting carded.

Ah, the luxury to still get carded...those were the days...

47, I did my first and only tri back in 2004. I'm shooting for the same sprint tri next summer and hopefully finish next season with an Olympic distance tri. I have a lot of training and weightloss to go
