Hi everyone, 1st time posting.

I didn't see a thread for this race. Did anyone participate in it this year? If so, what were your impressions?

Thanks,

Kent

I was the bike leg on a relay team for the Railsplitter.  Attendance was down probably due to competition from other tris on the same day.  We had a really good time.  The swim is in Lake Petersburg.  The bike is challenging, has a lot of hills and winds through Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Fish & Wildlife area.  I was by myself for a good part of the ride.

The run is on partly open country roads and part through New Salem State Park.

Post race had Subway sandwiches and fresh fruit.  Trophies were very nice --- handmade items from local artisans. We had a really good time.

There is talk that this race might not happen again next year.

Thanks for the info. It sounds like a nice venue, I hope they have it again next year.
