ANyone else have to carry these when running. I am fine swimming and biking but for some reason about a mile in on a run acid is killing me. Any thoughts??

Try a Zantac about an hour before you run.  And talk to your doctor.

I hate Tums/Rolaids and before I lost weight I used to get heartburn all the time.  Zantac always worked great!

I have a big bottle of TUMS.  I use it more for cycling since I'm on the aero bars and like to push gears.  It gives me a little reflux.  I think it works better as a preemptive measure rather than an after the fact. As stated by the previous poster the oral medications work a little better.  My personal experience is that Omeprazole other known as Prilosec seems to work the best.  If you get it over the counter you need to take two of them.  It's a little pricey so if you can take Zantac instead, it's quite a bit less and in most cases works as well.

Me too.  I get a little heartburn after a couple hours.  Tumms for the tummy.

Happens to me occasionally, try waiting a little longer after eating that helps me. However, if I can't wait I will pop a few right before I run, I keep a big bottle in the console of my car just in case.
