Subject: What to buy
Im wanting to buy a new bike to train on and compete in future triathlons. My question is what bike should I get. Im wanting to spend around 1k. Ive looked at specialized, trek and giant. Any feedback or other suggestions would be great.  Thanks

Get a Cervelo.  If you are limited to $1K, now is the time to buy as many palces are having season-end sales.   Performance is having another sale (as they do every month, or day. )

Maybe a used Cervelo for $1K.  I have had my CerveloP2K for 4 full years with plenty of miles on it.  It is great and I love it dearly.  It has a lot of life in it and has performed flawlessly.  Got it at a summer's end sale, new.  ($2100)

I would have to say used bikes are a good way to go. You will find many people wanting to upgrade from an entry level to the next level. I have not tried yet, but am debating selling my Trek to upgrade because I got hooked and have been dedicating a lot of time to tris etc. Not trying to thread jack or post in wrong area, but pm me if you are interested and I can give you some additional info.
