Subject: Looking for ride or run meet-ups near Spokane

Hey guys,
I will be in Spokane starting next week 9/8/09 for the next five weeks. I was wondering if there are any weekly group rides you can make me aware of or any where I can find routes. Also, what is the weather like in September? How should I pack?

i don't live over there, but i am from about 85 miles south of spokane.  weather should still be pretty good, in the 70's - 80's, but could get some rain and some weather down into the 40's-50's later in the month.  i would pack some raain gear and some light cold weather gear.

Ultra is right for the weather. You can also start to get some wind winging its way in towards the end of september that can be no fun. For ride or run groups check out TriFusion, a local tri club there. I am not a member but I have a couple of old high school friends that are. They may have runs they would let you go on as a visitor to the area or know of different running groups/riding groups etc that you could look into.

I grew up in Spokane but not as a member of the tri community, got out of there for college ASAP

Well I ride with a group on Tuesday and Thursday nights at various locations starting at 5:30 pm up till about 7:15ish or so as it's starting to get dark.  This is a fast group although on some of the larger hills they will wait for you.  I am ALWAYS in the back but that's okay, it's making get stronger each ride.  Shoot me an email and I'll shot you the locations when I hear about them.
