molto veloce mama  9311   |  Subject: hello - another mama joins the ranks!hey, i'm autumn, mama to two red-headed daughters (3 years and 6 months). just did my first 5k and turned right around and signed up for my first tri (short course 1/3m, 10m, 2.5m). just started running this winter to try and get rid of some post-partum weight and am actually beginning to enjoy running. have always loved swimming and cycling (i don't drive, so my bike is one of the main ways i get around). i love hiking and backpacking, so it will be a challenge to balance training against our need to get into the woods (unless we camp by a lake and i bring my trail runners!) not to mention the garden, etc. on monday i will have 18 weeks before the short tri (http://www.brewhouse.net/brew/events/index.html). i've been running, swimming, and/or biking every day for the past month, and if i had to do the race tomorrow, i could... i'd just be really tired at the end.  |

I do have a question - any advice for a tender groin muscle. I injured it in my first delivery & have, of course, re-injured it. Hope your race goes well, Autumn. |

Just 4 weeks ago think of what those muscles were doing (o.k., don't think about it after all :-O ). Remember your body is still healing. Check with your Dr. before doing anything too strenuous!
