I have both sets of wheels at my disposal, one from my Trek, and the other from the new P2C, what would be the better choice or are they about on the same page?

Shimano R-500 Aero from the Cervelo P2C:
1852g Pair
16 spoke front 20 rear
24mm Rim

Bontrager Select Aero:
These are the only specs I could find:
Front: 941g 20 Spoke
Rear: 1220g 20 Spoke
Bontrager Hubs
30mm rim

Not enough difference between the two to matter.

Go with the Bontrager, lighter weight deeper rim depth.  However, the Shimano's are a bomb proof wheelset.

how is the bontrager a lighter weight based on his info?  Looks like almost 2200 vs. 1850.  But as mentioned, not much difference.

The carbon rimmed Bontragers are HED rims, but the aluminum rims has nothing to do with Hed... DT Swiss hubs and the Select Aero rims is really nothing special... but than again neither is the R500 Shimano's.

Not much difference overall, but given that there is a small weight difference, I'd go with the lighter wheels for sure.
