Yeah, I swam in the lake a couple of months ago amd the water was 75...it wasn't cold at all. Since I now have a wetsuit I thought it would be a good opportunity to try it out. I actually wore it in the pool at 24 Hr last night and ran into two women who are also going to be competing tomorrow. One said wear the wetsuit another say don't waste the time. Ah! I guess I needed a third opinion.

Good job. I won 3rd in my age group, but there were only four of us so that isn't really saying anything. I don't know if you noticed but the event timing was way off. I timed each leg myself since I knew we weren't going to get a split and not including the transitions, I had 1:59 but my official time was 1:43. When I came in the clock showed 1:46. Hmm.  And that swim could not have been 1/2 mile since I finished it in 17 mins...I'm a slow swimmer and it should have take me closer to 25. So, that was annoying and the complete lack of traffic control for the bike and direction for the run.  Also, the water from the first station came from some guys garden hose. LOL. Oh well...I still had fun and will do it again since it is local and I know a lot of people who do it.
