The full horror of the forfeit from the swimming challenge is starting to hit me.

I’ve checked through last year’s holiday snaps and there is not a single picture of me in a cossie (probably a good reason for this). This means if the guy’s lose, unlikely though it is, but if the guy’s lose then I will need to get a new picture.

The first problem is where you take the picture.

Posing about the house – pretty sad

In the garden – what will the neighbor’s think

At the pool – how to feel a proper Charlie

At the beach – I’d feel a bit out of place amongst the other hardy souls in their wind cheaters.

The next problem is who you get to take the picture.

Your wife – explain to me again why you want this done

A friend – how much of a friend is he going to need to be to understand

A stranger – I’ll not even go there.

Come on guys, swim, swim, swim. If only to save my marriage.

The horror of putting a picture of myself is less troubling than the horror of trying to figure out HOW to post it!  I am technologically challenged!!!!  I have had one of those darned digital cameras for over two years and still have not developed/downloaded anything from it yet.

dude, you have no idea what misery you are in for if we should lose. "cute swimming outfits?" Ew. Garth Brooks sings about how he thanks God for unanswered prayers... I hope for everyone's sake that yours goes unanswered!

Ok... as much as I enjoy... revel in... am gleeful about Team Chyck prevailing in the Swim Challenge... I do NOT enjoy a defeatist attitude in my opponents. There's not much joy in Winning when one's opponents are ready to Lose.

Now, Guys, get out there and SWIM! The month isn't over yet!! You can still *kack* *ahem* win! *kack* Come one! Let's make this a nail-biting finish!!!

LOL. Girls, you should get a copy of the new triathlete magazine to get picture ideas from the swim suit edition!

Ya know... instead of fantasizing about a reward you will never get... perhaps you should work on encouraging and inspiring your teammates to swim more. I know, I know... it's a wild, out-there idea! Call me crazy! But if your team's morale doesn't improve, you are going to be in the embarassing position of eating crow for the entire BT community to see. Lots and lots of crow.

As one who lost a bet and had to post a rather embarrassing pic (note that I did not join the swim challenge... I wasn't willing to lose), I have to say that getting the boyfriend to do it was actually not the best option. He just whined about me posting my ass on the internet and how horrible it was that other men would be looking at it. I got a lot of "this is the stupidest bet ever." My boyfriend has never been a whiner, but he was a big fat BABY about that one.... Use the auto-timer if your camera has one.

If it helps, tell him we think he did a wonderful job, that he may have potential for a career in photography.

No need to involve your boyfriends...I'll be happy to provide my photo services to all the ladies next month when they need to have that photo taken.  I'll charge my digital camera right now!

Possum, this is the guy-speak for "Come on, men! you can do it!" It translates to "Boobies! Bare butt cheeks!" See? Everyone is motivated differently.
