Ran my longest distance so far...

Great!!!! I ran my longest today at 13.2 miles. I am happy since I just started running 3 months ago. Probably not the smartest but I wanted to see if I was able to do a 1/2 Mary one day.

yea..uhh about that. lol

so i was a little under prepared energy wise towards the end.

My routine was woke up, ate a bagel, downed a tall glass of cranberry w/ energy (oceanspray), and a mug of coffee and hit the road.

had 24 oz of water on my belt and 2 gels. approx halfway thru the run i paused and downed my gels (i should have only had one) and 16 oz of water. then the sun began to heat up and i downed the other water and i was out! good thing there was a ballpark out there with a water fountain otherwise i'd be one SOL runner.

Next time i plan to down 4 oz of water every 3ish miles and a gel every 6 miles in order to keep my energy up for a good pace. this might not be enuf water but i got bloated today downing all the water at the park, even tho it felt right.
