What is a good computer for your bike? I am looking for basically speed and distance. I am buying a HRM that I can wear (at least the watch) in the water. Was ;looking at the Garmin Forerunner 305 but since you really can't wear it in water (right), I am going to go with a good HRM with a lap function. Anyways thanks for the help.

A Cateye Strada.  Might as well as get the cadence option cc-rd200, can be found online for ~ $35-40 dollars (check amazon.com).

I just went through reading the rules on usat. I thought I heard someone say you can't use cadence during a race. True? I couldn't find it.

No USAT rules about using cadence on the bike.

The one with lets you monitor your cadence (duh!). For most (but not all)people, a higher cadence is more effficient. That said, I've done most of my cycling without a cadence readout.
