I was alittle underwhelmed with my goodie bag.  At the first Tri  I did, I did not get a goody bag.  I don't do the races for the swag, but...

What is the best goody bag you ever got at a race?

Yeah, I've yet to see a goody bag that is more than a handful of ads except for the occasional lip balm. That's pretty much it.

Bitterroot Classic Triathlon: Gels, drinks, frisbee, sunscreen, toothbrush, lipbalm, massager, etc. On top of that, the race shirt is a bike jersey. This race has class.

Oooh, also this year the Grizzly Triathlon in Missoula, MT, gave us beach towels with the race logo on it, and running socks, too. That was awesome!

Apparently I need to go do a race in MT or IA.   Best thing I ever get is a couple of gels and occasionally and dri-fit shirt.

This was only my second year of racing, but I noticed a difference in the givees between the two.  There was definitely more stuff last year.  I figure it's the economy.  It wasn't just the bags, it seemed to be the size of the expos too.

River Cities in Shreveport promotes that their goody bag contains stuff that totals $350 in reetail: two shirts, a nice bag (usually transition, this year messenger), cap, socks, water bottle, beach towel, and more.

CajunMan (yesterday) does almost as well:black T-shirt, black cycling socks, headsweats cap, towel, race belt, water bottle, cup, koozie, and a handful of nutritional samples (RD owns a nutritional/smoothie store).
