Hi all,

I'm considering joining a masters' team over the winter, but thought I'd check here first to see if there is anyone who trains without a team that could use another training "buddy."

I'm looking for fairly challenging (100's in the 1:20 - 1:30 range) pool workouts at least a couple of times a week and prefer early morning, but can be flexible with the time.

I'm not a coach & don't have a predetermined workout schedule, but can share what seems to work for me and I'm willing to try any workouts that anyone wants to share.

Dan

Have you joined a masters team? Where are you swimming now? I think I will be joining the Monroe YMCA masters team for some winter training however open to some other training as well.

Yup.  Starting at West Coast Aquatics in Mill Creek in October.  MWF 9-10:30.  A bit later than I'd hoped, but it works with my schedule.

Cool; maybe I'll see you there (West coast aquatics).  I swam with them a few times over the summer and its a great group!  You'll get a good workout! There are several triathletes.  The times don't work for me right now but I'm hoping they'll switch them up in a few months.

I'm sure I'll get decent workouts.  The coach used to race triathlons and tells me a couple swimmers are training for an IM.

If the MWF times don't work for you, they're also practicing TTh 8:10 - 9:00pm.  And the pool opens at 5:30am for lap swimming.

Now I have to decide if I'm going to keep running & biking on my own, or join running/cycling groups.
