Yep, I'm in. Did it three years ago, I think. Great race, no, but it is a pretty good one, nice venue, decent bike course. See ya there!

BTW, registration closes tomorrow at 5pm, in case you didn't know.

I'll be there again. It's a good race - swim is rather mucky, especially when people walk it, but the rest is nice.

Hope everyone got signed up.  Registration ended Sunday night and it is all filled up.  Over 500 participants.  I think there is a waiting list for those who didn't get in and are hoping for some people to drop out.

Looking forward to representing BR Tri again and taking home the State Club Championship once more.

"Looking forward to representing BR Tri again and taking home the State Club Championship once more."

Is that what they meant with "Louisiana State Championship"?  How does that work?

I think it is the State Championship race so the male and female winners get crowned as the state champion.  Then in addition to that, they have the Tri Club Challenge.

The Tri Club Challenge is awarded on a participation and results basis.  Every racer from the club gets a point just for completing the race.  Those racers who place top 3 or 5 in the overall (don't remember) get extra points for their clubs and those who place top 3 in AG gets extra points for the club.  Club with the most points win.  BR Tri has won it 5 out of the 5 years I believe.  Lake Charles Triathletes beat us out in 2007.

Those racers who are in a LA tri club need to make sure they have let their tri club know they are racing to make sure they are included in the challenge.

Gonna be hard for the other clubs to match up. There are some great clubs out there but the numbers are certainly in our favor. If Brandon Guillory has a good day, it will be fun to see how he matches up with Peter Reid.
