Is the trial the "full" program??  I'm in the same situation---just got a PT and was looking at software----seems everyone says to use WKO+.............

By far a must have if you train with power...great program that helps you analyze your data especially if you are familar with the Hunter Allen book.

I've been using it last 3 years and most everyone I know that trains with power uses it. Look at most race reports that have power data and folks cut and paste from WKO+ software into it...just goes to show how many power users use the program.

Download the trial version and test it out.

You could also try Golden Cheetah (http://goldencheetah.org) - it's free and seems to be pretty solid (I haven't played around with it too much yet).

Yup had to sit around for work most of the day and got to that part of the book that discusses TSS, NP, etc and it made me think that I "had" to have the software..............

I'm using it.  The powertap software sucks compared to WKO.

I really like the Performance Management Chart.  It helped me peak for IMKY, and I took 2:42 off my time from last year(14:19 to 11:36).

WKO+ is the gold standard when it comes to power analysis.  Weak in the running and it doesn't really do swimming.  It will show you your data, warts and all, so if you use a Garmin you will need to turn off auto-pause and set it to 1 second recording. For alternatives, look at Raceday, Golden Cheetah, or SportTracks with the Training Planner plugin.

I use and i really haev liked it, I also bought the Dr. coggan book and the PhyicsFarm book on triathlete and power (which I am willing to see sicne I read the whole thing)

But I felt the books are just as good as the learning the software.
