Fortunately? it was 35 and not 36 when I went running today-no wind, though, so I get a whopping .5!

Oh, and I had to run to the pharmacy this morning because my sweet husband accidentally took both sets of car keys(I am so glad he his human like me!).  I called him and told him he must really want me to get my exercise in today!

I could have gone running in the rain this morning, but it was 36 then~

Bill,
thanks for the tip!  We have actually studied the iditarod(we homeschool) and gone dog sledding (in MN).  Look forward to your trip report in two years.  It would be fun to know someone who was doing it!

Nichi - could you call my wife and tell her what a great idea it is for me please

Do you live in MN?? If so I am jealous   I want to move there but the wife doesn't

Bill,
Be glad to!  I am sure she already knows how crazy we runners are!  I was telling my husband about the race last night.
We live in Iowa-about 45 minutes from MN, went dogsledding for a vacation  once.  It was quite the adventure-my daughter broke her nose after my husband and son fell off the sled(she was in the basket)  the dogs kept going and she ran smack into a tree.  It was a great experience until that moment!  MN is a beautiful place-we stayed in a cabin up near the Boundary Waters.

Ran 2 hours, 40 minutes and 34 seconds in 19mph winds and 37 degrees.  NO sun, just clouds, pretty crummy weather, if you ask me!

I must confess that I need a crappy spring weather challenge to keep me going when I don't get any points for the crappy winter weather challenge!!!!

Good News!!!
The forecast has changed for my race on Saturday!
Lows of 26-high of 35
since I am running in the morning-it will probably be closer to the 26!
NO snow showers!  Actually, I don't mind snow-especially for the points, but rain, I was not looking forward to!!
I am excited to maybe get some more points before April!
Nichi
bad news-having knee troubles-so icing, icing, icing and taking it easy tomorrow.

It's been so nice here the last few weeks I forget to check for points. The mornings have been a little chilly though. The winter here was not as bad as last year, guess that accounts for the lower point total for me. Not going to complain though.
Great job everyone!

HI!  I didn't think I would be able to get any more points, but it happened!
need to ask a favor.  I don't have internet at home anymore and the library's computer does not support google documents?  anyway, can't get to the spreadsheet. could someone please add my points to the spreadsheet?  Thank you so much!

I ran 2hours and 39 minutes on Saturday and earned 657 points.

It was 23 degrees and 16-19 mph winds(BRUTAL!)  Once you pay for something it makes it harder to get out of it!  Plus, my roommate from college was there and waiting for me!

I got a medal, too!!!

Thanks!
Nichi

Thanks, Bill, for adding my points!
don't think I will be getting anymore in since my knee is really giving me some issues, and the weather in Iowa is in the 50's!

Nichi

This was such a fun journey-thanks for letting me run along!

Great job Darren & Bill. Ended up with a mild March here so not many points. Will probably pay for that with crappy weather in May.

See you next year for the challenge.
