Subject: Sprints Races as training tools for longer races? Hello First season completed with two sprint races. I missed one race with a pulled right hamstring and the last race I could not run so I walked the 5K run. I have come a long way with my swimming highlighted with less than 10 minute ocean OWS including run-out. I am thinking about next season. My goal for next year is to do an Olyimpic distance race and really do well in all the events. I was thinking about using our local Charleston Sprint Series (4 races total ) as training for my one big event. This will keep the focus on my training as I work towards my goal for 2010.
