What turkey trots, jingle bell runs, etc is everyone doing this year.

I think I am doing a 5 miler on Thanksgiving day in Alexandria, not sure what else.

Anything fun out there?

I am doing the Wicked 10K, Virginia is for Lovers, and the half mary Shamrock. I might do a 5K race in December, but not sure which one is considered a "good" one.

Fingers crossed for the Jingle All the Way 10K. I registered, but now it depends on what happens after I see the ortho on Tuesday. Shin thing still isn't better, so that may be a no-go. So probably nothing until early spring. Hoping for the Shamrock Half - already registered for that one too, cuz the price went up at the end of Sept.

Was planning on the Richmond 8K in November but I need to heal some injuries still so that is out. I definately plan to do the Monument Ave 10k in Richmond in late March. It is great.

Some of us do.  A lot of the folks in the Northern Virgina area get together from time to time for group rides, plus a lot of us compete in the same races.

No races planned, just running about 30 miles a week (3x8m 1x6m)... might like to do a half marathon.  There's the Richmond and the Marine half that I've seen.  Marine half is relatively close to me being in Fredericksburg.  Otherwise nothing planned, but if something tickles me, I'll probably do it.

Lots of us heading to shamrock!    I have a full mary (Breast Cancer Marathon in Jacksonville, FL) at the end of February, so I'm only doing the half at Shamrock.   Should be a good time!

Doing this race tomorrow.

http://www.vhtrc.org/events/pot-overlook-runs.htm

8k hilly trail run wth a couple of stream crossings.  With all the rain we have had should make for an interesting race.

Also about a block from my house so not a bad distance to travel.

Bunch of folks from my tri team will be there. If I could run, I would too - looks like lots of fun.

Ended up being a pretty cool race, never done a trail race before.  Team Z had a ton of folks there which was awesome,  Good fundraiser for the nature centers here in Arlington, glad they came out.
