Hi, my name is Anthony and I am training for my first triathlon in April. I have been training independently for about 2 months. I used to be a gym rat, but after 6 years it got old, and now I can't seem to pull myself off my bike, out of my shoes or out of the water. I still hit the gym, but on a much less frequent basis. I do have a little bit of a background in exercise physiology and nutrition, (I'm still in school) but I am always eager to learn and absorb more, especially from those seasoned veterans that have trtied and tested it all. I look forward to communicating with you all.

Great to have you here Anthony - anxious to hear how it goes. Same with me on the gym thing - after a year of cardio and weight training, I got hungry for other goals.

Welcome! I, too, used to be a gym-rat. In fact, I competed in a bodybuilding contest a few years back. However, since I've started training for a tri, I FEEL much better than ever.

Have fun and enjoy!

Welcome Anthony! It is sooo much nicer to work out outside of a gym, I agree. Good luck with you race!
