Hey Will, don't you have a real bad stomach ache?  I thought you mentioned that last night...in fact, you should probably RUN to the restroom right now...then politely excuse yourself from work.  You don't want anyone else there to catch that intestinal bug, do you???

I'm trying to get as much information for my wife and our friends to know what to expect when they show up to watch. most specifically the after party..

will they be expected to pay for food? will they be able to eat any of the food?

From the Sportspectrum website:
GIANT POST RACE PARTY:
Stick around after the race with family & friends and enjoy the biggest post race party. Louisiana style by Clarke’s Tailgate Bar-B-Que. Ice cold beer from Michelob, gourmet water by Music Mountain Water, fresh bagels and Columbo yogurt by Bibentuckers Bagels, pineapples, bananas, and oranges from Super One and D’Anna Produce. Earthereal cookies, ice cold Amino Vital performance drink, and always music and entertainment provided by Emcee Woody Nesbitt & Co.

I take that to mean food for everyone at no charge (except the $85 entry fee). I recommend the peanut butter yogurt and if they are making smoothies, the Nutty Anna Bananna is EXCELLENT.

Ha! Got a half-hour lead on you Clydes! I'm going to be eating all the chow while you're still on the bikes. Be nice and I may save you a bagel. Where's the booty report, Michael?

How to win the Honda Element

1. Cross Finish Line
2. Draw one of the 140 ping pong ball with a smiley face
3. Call out 10 random numbers of the 140
4. All 10 given a key to the car. Who ever unlocks it wins.

You can trade the Element for a different color or trade up/down for a different model.

So I guess on monday, I will be driving a new, silver Honda Accord

Packet Pick-up is not in Sportspectrum, but in a store right next to Subway.

There is a ton of stuff on sale in Sportspectrum, so stop by and contribute to the local Shreveport economy.

Hadn't decided yet. The water will probably too hot to wear a top, so probably not.

Hey Michael...thanks for posting the wave times....is there a swim cut-off time?  Being in the last wave worries me a bit...wonder if I should politely ask to be switched to age group since a podium spot isn't in the cards anyway.

Brandt,

I'd be willing to be there isn't one.. It's a pretty short race so they'll probably be waiting for everybody every leg.. I'd also be willing to bet you won't be the last one out of the water...

Hope you are right, but no matter how much I swim, I am not getting much faster...right now I average about 2:30 per 100...probably because I mix in breaststroke

No cutoff time for any of the legs.

You can not enter the transition area to get your bike until the last person puts their bike in transition and heads out for the run.

Three baby bears are staying here with the inlaws, so that's three less for dinner Michael.

Sorry, will, you'll have to find your skinny kid snack somewhere else!
