so which would you pick and why? trying to decide.

similar fairly flat course for both, about the same distance away, price is close enough to not be an issue.

I'd go with the 5 miler just because I prefer racing that distance over a 5K.

5k.  Before it really starts to hurt, you are done.  The 4th mile of a 5 miler is just painful ....

I think that seals the deal right there! Choices here (Korea) were 5K or 10K.  I went for the 10 and finished mid pack.  And no pie... Frown

Well, I just got done making TWO pumpkin pies, along with many hours of cooking several other T-giving delicacies.  So I'm hoping that my 5 mile race tomorrow morning is giving out free foot massages as prizes.

Congrats!  I got 2nd in my AG and am totally stoked.  But only first place in AG got a pie.  Cry

Oh and yeah, I'd have to agree that mile 4 hurt.  A lot.  (I'd never done a 5-mile race before.)  It didn't help that it was entirely uphill...

Happy T-giving everyone!

I would run a 5k because its easier for me to compare my time to my speed and fitness (p.s, im canadian)
