Ladies, it was is Captain's Goal that 90% of the Goddesses meet their goals (man, that would have been a great side-bet with the cupcake obssessed Captain 'Bones). That means 35 of the 38 Goddesses met their goal.

What do you think? We have 10 women who are below 95% of goal (9 if we don't count our dear, injured La Rakusillian). I expect the 95%ers to hit 100%. We need 7 of these 10 women to hit their goal and Team Gear Goddess would have accomplished a great deal, as individuals and as a team.

Can you do it? Do you want it? Can you try just a little bit harder? GO GO GO!!!

Stacers - 2005-06-29 10:38 AM

... I'm currently at 68% but I have a long ride scheduled tomorrow which would bring me up to 85%.  I'm swamped tonight, but I'll TRY to squeeze in an extra 15 or so which would bring me above 90% for the month total.

GO STACERS GO!  GO STACERS GO! YAAAAAAAAAAY, STACERS!

OK ladies, I have 21.8 miles to my goal, and I have a long ride scheduled for tonight. This will be my longest ride ever, but with a little luck, lighter breezes, and no lightning (to scare my hubby ), I should be able to make it. And I was thinking of throwing in a couple miles tomorrow before my run...to work on my transitions! Who-ya, I'll get there!

Aww thanks, Cindy. However, there is a Publix bakery not 10 minutes from his office. Just need to call a delivery service. Maybe I can ask them to put ORANGE frosting on them!

Just waiting for the Goddesses to hit their goals and I make the call!!!

I was going to stay off my bike until Sunday because my shoulders are suffering and need recovery. I want to go into my tri in 2.5 weeks feeling fresh, rested and ready. However, as I am the Captain of this feisty group of Goddesses, I will bite the bullet and get on my mtn bike tonight (need new tube for road bike). I will be riding on my knobby tires around the city.

Time to suck it up, Buttercups. If you haven't hit your goal yet, dig down deep and pedal!

I have only two miles to go (seriously). I'll be riding tomorrow morning and will get in another 10-13 or so. I have a question to pose here to you all...I count my miles on the road bike for training purposes only. I am not counting the few 3.5 mile round trips I did to the gym to swim and run some errands over the past month. I do that on a hybrid, it is leisurely and really does nothing for me so to speak. Should I go back and add them in overall or just one random day where I have no biking in, add in the 11-14 miles and note in my log "various trips to gym/errands"?

thoughts????? either way, i'll be at 100% plus a little.

I have about 22 miles to go. Should get it tomorrow one way or another. These challenges have helped me get off my butt and get out there and train!
GO GEAR GODDESSES!!
Shrano: I added every mile I pedaled that bike, whether it was to the store or taking my son in his bike trailer. You're out there riding, and that's what counts.

Congratulations Mimi, I knew that you would do it. And congrats all of the other goddesses. You did great things this month.

I am especially impressed with the two goddess who challenged themselves even though they were racing HIMs. I stayed out of the challenge because I didn't know how long it would take me to recover after my half. I feel like such a slacker after you two did it. Great job all!
