Subject: Winter Running: Care for your feet!!

I LOVE winter running, but my feet usually get pretty beat up running on packed, uneven snow. I did some research, paired that with my own experience, and posted some tips:

I just did a 1/2 mary yesterday and ended up with immersion foot. Cold rain the whole run. Yick!

My feet look like that after most >5km runs in all weather conditions (I'm in Australia so I don't have to deal with too much in the rain and cold department). This is just something that I found through trial and error.'Rigid' straping tape (one that has almost zero give in it) on the most affected areas. It isn't pretty and will often pull off layers of dead skin when you take it off but I changed my shoes, changed to moisture-wicking socks, tried no socks, and put custom-made orthotics into my new shoes nothing except this odd taping style has worked.Good Luck with this one.
