I know many of you have missed my rambling threads and laughed at my idiotic bunched up races but surely you have all missed me.  Anyway, Merry Christmas friends.  I am finally back where I can start up training again but let me asure you, putting on weight is exponentially easier than taking it off.

Breathe easy, I will be posting reports of training soon enough where I pat myself on the back on a regular basis and boast about my cat like 9 minute mile pace and shark like 2:02 per 100 swim times.  Yes , many of you are much faster but I only let you win, this year my friends, H is getting faster!...as soon as I take off the last 7 pounds I put on!  + the 40 I needed to lose anyway.

Seriously, I wanted to say how much fun this past season was especially meeting you guys and gals and I certainly look forward to 2010 full of fun competition!  My you wake Christmas morning to new bikes and shoes under your tree, new spandex in your closet, and mostly and healthier future!

Your slow by TRi ing friend,

HL

I was wondering where you had been hiding!

Isn't it funny how your Christmas list changes as you start doing tris!

niceee! thats awesome man...I am PUMPED for Tri season 20 10! I too gained some lbs these last couple weeks...its been 'no pain, lots of gain' Though its over come January. I have my season planned, powerstroke improvement plan in place, a shinny brand spankin new P2C (yeaahhh baby), and shet wait i'm leaving something out...oh yea, running (geeezz). Thats actually my focus the first half of the seaon, running! I NEED HELP

I was about to move back to NY in April but decided to stay in the area a while longer. I wasn't about to leave one of the greatest tri communities in the nation!

Happy Holidays to all it was great meeting y'all (damn, NC has me talking all southern now) Hope to train with you guys throughout the season

I also need to get back on the training bandwagon.  I've been sick ever since IM Cozumel.  Luckily I picked up a stomach bug so if anything I've probably lost a few lbs Surprised  And BTW- if you ever want to bike let me know- I'm sloooow so I could probably boost your ego a bit

Welcome back Harold. I'm with Halfpint on wanting you to stop by and play santa with some nice new shiny/spandexy toys (you know, in a different context that last sentence would be VERY wrong).

    Same here!

I've been doing a little bit lately, not muc, and certainly haven't been keeping up with keeping the Training Log updated.  Been also nursing a sore left foot.

I've gained back some weight as well, but mine started back in early September, back when I was still preparing for the Augusta 70.3  I think I was training a little harder and naturally getting more hungry, but went overboard on the eating - eating many more extra caloties than what extra I was burning off.

Then of course Halloween, then Thanksgiving, now the Xmas season and snacks at work, snacks at home, snacks at people's house when you go to visit, less daylight hours to train, etc .... I'm up about 10-12 lbs.

I'm trying to do just enough exercise now to make it through the Holidays without gaining any extra, then come some time in Jan '10 to get back serious with my training and weight loss.

Great year, it was fun meeting everybody up in the Triangle area, doing some training together, running the Triangle Tri and Augusta events together ... it was a blast.  I have a full year and a couple months behind me now, so I'm dedicating 2010 as the year that I really get serious with this.

Not to the point of being obsessive or ever thinking I could be a podium finisher, but I mean really picking and sticking to a training plan, testing and finding my LT threshold, perhaps my VO2 Max, determine my Training Zones, etc ... do some real bike workouts other than just going out for a ride, etc ...

Good luck to everyone, Merry Xmas, and hope to see you all around some time soon!

    Kevin
