Subject: RE: Bob Stocks Group - Closed rstocks3 - 2010-03-02 12:58 PM Congrats on the weight loss guys! That's great. I'm down a couple belt loops buty this broken rib has definitely put a wrench in my marathon training. It's going to be an interesting marathon in 4 weeks. It does take some time to get used to the aero position but once you do you will love it. I like to think that I am just resting on a counter watching TV when I'm in aero. Very relaxing. Where are you having the problems with aero? Man - sorry to hear about the broken Rib Bob - you've sure got a great attitude about it Good luck with your training!! Aero - not relaxing at all for me My biggest problems are 1) my shoulders and neck get really tired (it's much easier to look straight down than forward - but that doesn't work on the road, LOL) and 2) my leg slightly makes contact with my stomach - which can't be good - has gotta slow me down? Is this just a matter of needing an adjustment? Another question, for anyone - is there a way to "tilt" the front of my seat down a bit? I got new shoes and cleats on Sunday - tried them out on T. The guy at the bike shop said my last pair of cleats was way forward - and most triathletes like them back if anything. He set them in the middle - it WAS more comfortable! My old ones had shims - I may need to add those back in on the L - as my knee was a bit tweaked on the inside the next AM. My R cleat must not have been tight enough? That shoe is now stuck to my pedal! I couldn't get it off even after I got off the bike - it just turns in place . . . gotta look at it better tonight. How's everyone's training going? Is weather improving for all? I know - it wasn't an issue for SOME of us :P We're finally seeing the sun here - ohhhhhh man has that been nice!! Plus we're mostly in the upper 30's / low 40's this week! Still crossing my fingers for 50's for my long run Sunday - ohhhhh that would be glorious Renee |
