Subject: Cycleops Fluid 2 Trainer question
I just got a Cycleops Fluid 2 trainer for Christmas. I want to get some type of power meter to use with my bike while I use the trainer and outside riding. Are there any recomendations on what brand/type to get that won't cost and arm and leg. I also just bought the book called "workouts in a binder for indoor cycling" which has great workouts, but also refers to power. I would love to start incorporating power wattage during my rides.

How big is your arm? How big is your leg?

You might get better responses if the title of your thread referred to power meters, as your question has little to do with the CF2 Trainer.

But seriously, define "and arm and a leg" to give us some idea of your budget.

Competitive Cyclist has an older model, wired version of a powertap on sale for about $650.  That is about the cheapest deal going for a new powermeter.

Kurt Kenetic has an inexpense power computer than can be used on and off the trainer. I have the wired version, wireless has heart rate. Check out my gear review on the wired power computer.
