My legs were not fully recovered from the workouts from the previous week. The first mile was a little fast, but adjusted after that. I was second, behind a team individual.
What would you do differently?:

Slow up a little on the first mile.

This is the last race before the Pacific Crest 1/2 Ironman in two weeks. This really begins my taper period.

I had the fastest time today, including teams and individuals. I'm pleased with my conditioning.
